A Touch of Scandal (1984)

 

Jason Miller as Garrett Locke in A Touch of Scandal commits murder in a devious plot to gain "legitimate" access to political power by way of Angie Dickinson's politician character Katherine Gilvey.

 

Stephen Shellen was born and raised in Canada. As Billy Podovski in A Touch of Scandal he is the first of two murder victims selected because of his sexual relationship with L.A. Councilwoman Gilvey  

 

This sporty red convertible is the one Billy was driving when someone he thought was a friend lured him to his death. Ron Goldman was reputedly driving a sporty red car when he was lured to his death.

 

Marta Kober is Billy's 16-year-old prostitute girlfriend Toni. She has aspirations of living as a high priced prostitute couple with Billy in a Brentwood condo. Her body is found in a Riverside bus station. 

 

Angie Dickinson as Katherine Gilvey meets with Billy in a motel where she pays him for sex because her husband has no sexual interests whatever. Locke is monitoring their meetings and taking photos.

 

Don Murray is  Katherine's asexual, multi-millionaire husband Benjamin. He is the power behind her 8-year political climb. He tells her what power means to him as he adjusts his white-spotted red necktie

 

Robert Loggia is a mob-connected lawyer name Paul Avakian who has known Ben Gilvey for 25 years. He deduces that Katherine paid Billy for sex and pretends to know all about it. He knows nothing

 

Tom Skerritt is a radical Catholic priest named Father Dwelle. He is a Katherine Gilvey supporter with a wide network of informants.  He  sticks his neck why out to cover for her and find the killer
