Kari, That is an excellent observation. Joe Boscoe has said repeatedly that within a week of arriving in LA, he was fully informed of Fuhrman's background--that it wasn't that big a secret amongst people in the know.

Even if Toobin didn't get it for the magazine article about the background/glove, he could and should have had it by the time his book came out.

But we could say the same for Boscoe and others who wrote books as well. Freed didn't find it either but then again, he wrote his book early..so early he got some times and dates wrong (slightly).

I have maintained all along as you know that the media cooperated in keeping Fuhrman's background and the Marvin Glass stuff and MORE Out of the press.

At a time when the tabs were interviewing any and all and digging for dirt---somehow even they didn't come up with Fuhrman's real background nor the stuff on Glass. If they did, they failed to publish it.

I wonder if in the Gould case, Fuhrman had to appear in court. Evidently, there was a hearing of some kind where the judge dismissed the case.

And we have talked about the "odd" "coincidence" (ha!) that Gould's lawyer (who accused Fuhrman of destroying exculpatory evidence) was later Fuhrman's lawyer in the perjury case.

Also Fuhrman and Goldman had the same lawyer for almost a year.

In fact, a lot of the lawyers were "double-dipping"---very much like the Mafia's "defense agreements" you hear about...where the Mafia boss supplies a lawyer for the chief witness against him.
