Recent articles in the LA Times tell of a 5 year old case where 2 cops have FINALLY been indicted.
It was learned at the time by both the prosecutor and the LAPD that they lied and framed a totally innocent by-stander.
One of the cops got a 22 day suspension for FRAMING an innocent man. Does this sound like the LAPD was much interested in whether or not their cops were framing people? Stayed on the job.
There are going to investigate his other cases to see if he did this in other cases and just didn't get caught.
The Prosecutor who discovered this was Let Go by the DA's office for not being a "player" or "loyal" enough.
The prosecutor who was transferred in February is now speaking out that he was transferred because he attempted to bring cops from Rampart to trial. The 5 year case is NOT from Rampart but completely separate.
This to me shows that there is a Pattern and Practices problem in the LAPD--just what the FBI and DOJ is looking into in their investigations.
It is showing to me also something that I predicted that we would see in the DA's office. Obviously, some of the prosecutors are cooperating and are in collusion (even if by looking the other way) with the corrupt cops.
