Kari,

It's amazing that you bring up Moonlighting. You won't believe how much I found in that series that relates to Fuhrman, O.J. and the Bundy murders. I had to add two more chapters to the book just to squeeze in some of the connections to Moonlighting.

Very good recap of Murder 101. I think you'd get a B+ (I would have gotten a C- before I saw it again through the eyes of Mark Fuhrman). The movie is not exactly the way you recall it. Tape it in fast mode if possible so you can see stop action and study the details that would have stuck in the mind of a man who had already decided to kill Nicole to frame O.J. and write a sure-fire best selling book.

Note the use of the glasses at the first murder scene as a red herring. Look at how blood is used by the killer to shift blame and how planted evidence is used to frame the murdered woman's husband--a doctor. Remember O.J. on the DOCk in The Naked Gun and The Naked Gun 2 1/2? In the Fuhrman network of movies I've traced starting with the knit cap, doctor is synonymous with O.J., or the impression of O.J. that the Bundy killer wanted to leave. There is a hell of a lot more, including Fuhrman's explanation for the butcher knife on Nicole's kitchen counter, the killer's leather gloves and the professors lessons in committing a perfect crime-which include red herrings.

Watch for Charlie's black socks and recall that Fuhrman and Roberts found the black socks (actually they were dark blue) in O.J.'s bedroom between his bed and the fireplace. You have to look closely for the socks in the scene where Charlie find's Franchecia strangled in a black slip (no socks) with his necktie (Fuhrman was big no neckties from the movies and clothing from O.J.'s clothier). There is a continuity error in the filming that shows no socks on the floor next to the chair that Charlie is sitting in but both sock in another shot that is supposed to be a continuation of the first one. Remember what Fuhrman said about O.J. seeing himself in the mirror after he killed Ron and Nicole. Remember that his friends took him to a magic show to celebrate his testimony in the first trial.

Yes, there is more. Much more. Please, watch it again if you can, you may see something I missed.--Jasper
