I don't recall 'Murder 101', so I can't confuse it with any other; Charlie is right about D.O.A. (newest version). Denise Quaid & Meg Ryan. Ryan played a student with a crush on her professor of literature. A promising student of Quaids was murdered (who was fooling around with his estranged wife), and then the wife is done in. Quaid is witness to the murder, but is unable to i.d. or stop him cuz he was poisoned earlier; ergo, the killer escapes and the police suspect Quaid.
Reminds me of the Sam Sheppard Case.
After discovering that he has about a day and half to live...there is no antidote...his only motivation is to discover who "murdered" him. His friend and co-worker did it.
The killer murdered the student in order to plagiarize the kid's book, then killed the wife because she was able to put two-and-two together.
Nope, DOA is the movie where the guy is poisoned by someone and he has to prove someone killed him and to get the ancedote. The only thing I got messed up is the husband in Murder 101 was suspected, arrested, and convicted of his wifes murder. It was the Professor who worked at the same college of his ex wife who is seeing his most hated peer. Who has almost nothing but comic relief to do with this case. The "Real Killer" of the students was framing the professor. The husband of the victim, was framed for the murder of the first victim. The first victim had an affair with the Real Killer. He killed her and then when this case which the professor had a student write a story about it, made it a project and as each student was killed, "TADA", the Real Killer had the professor show up. The professor was actually a writer who decided to teach again after he and his wife got a divorce. In the end they are back together sorta. DOA is about a man poisons, who has a girlfriend who has been waiting for ages for this man to marry her, and finally after he is poisoned and realizes it he has 24 hours or something like that, and he proves a real killer of another crime and his own./ Didn''t like that one so much with the first one, didn't see the secvond one. Didn't like all the men speaking in ways women talk. Can't explain what I eman about this. Just that the script writter took a boring allegedly suspenseful script and made it boring for the movies. I thought it was boring. I know I am in the minority so oh well. I wouldn't confuse a made for TV movie, Murder 101, and a made for big screen block buster which I don't understand how it survived this long forget being remade. I wouldn't confused them. Ever.
