Murder on a Honeymoon also has a bad girl getting the man, who saved a case for the NY detective. It has the portrayal of African American's as dumb and Stupid, which is how O.J. Simpson was constantly trying to be portrayed in the Press during both trials, yet mostly the Criminal trial, when he orchestrated the Defense. James Gleason actually took second billing in the first two movies, the ones you just mentioned. Imagine, the detective taking second billing for the real person?? I am glad you see the nuances because much of what is in these shows is so subtle, some might only see the comedy. The Court scene sure looked familiar except is was the prosecution who asked irrelevant questions in the O.J. Simpson trial, and in the Movie the defense. :)
