Being the child of an Alcoholic I am offended. I believe it was Hate that made Furhman what he is. The alcoholism is secondary. I am not a Liar nor filled with hate for others. I have compassion and understanding, even for those who believe in O.J.'s guilt. It takes more than the inconsistency of a parent who is an alcoholic to make a Furhman. Many children who grow up under the circumstances of an Alcoholic in the house and beatings may have problems. The illusion of being able to get better is not an illusion. I could never had gone through the seven surgeries in ten years two of those being back surgeries if I was like Charlie said and you agreed with. I would have never made it. Some of us are survivors and take responsibility for ourselves. You also need to have disrespect for women to account for and his Nazi beliefs. Those attributes don't come from being an adult child of an alcoholic. I am truly offended. I didn't want to bring this part of my life up but how else can I refute being told that adult children of alcholics are liars and filled with hate?
