Jean,
If you want an idea of what a foreword in The Smoking Gun should look like read the one by Vencent Bouliosi in Fuhrman's Murder in Brentwood and my brother's foreword in Iago.
About reading Iago before the trial, I know what you mean. I wish I could have written it before the trial (up until the middle of the prosecution's case I thought O.J. was guilty). It took both trials a ton of e-mail corresponcence, several readiings o f all the transcripts and several books--especially Fuhrman's--to write it.
I've done a consderable amount of research over the years on psychology, sociology, cultural anthropology, samantics and linguistics so I have a good grip on Berne's Transactional Analysis (I'm OK, you're OK) and Game Theory. I have known sociopaths and compulsive liars. But I don't have the professional credentials to make the kind of imprssion that you can or the depth of knowledge you have to see things only an expert could see.
Thanks for agreeing to give it a shot. --Jasper
