Gary, my friend, the blood evidence--ALL of the blood evidence--works in O.J.'s favor. As you said, it shows clearly that the man was framed. It doesn't always do so the way it might appear at first.
Vannatter's act with the blood was dumb, but it had nothing to do with the blood samples collected at Rockingham. It was a huge mistake by the defense to claim that it did. O.J.'s blood wasn't drawn from his arm until hours after the blood at Rockingham had been collected. Rockingham was Dennis Fung's first stop. One of the first things he did was to pick up all of the markers Fuhrman's partner Brad Roberts laid down to indicate blood drops and to put down his own. Fung's markers are the ones in the police photo that told the real story of O.J.'s blood trail-the story that clears him. The crucial point about Vannatter's stunt with the blood was how easy it was for him to get and use BY HIMSELF for a dubious purpose.
There are big questions as to whether any blood was in the Bronco on the 12th or 13th, except, perhaps, for a tiny amount of O.J.'s which is consistent with his alibi.
The blood identified as O.J.'s on Bundy had to have been switched before it was tested because the cut on his finger before he left for Chicago wasn't big enough to produce drops that size. It's that simple. Dr. Lee wouldn't even call the blood spots on ROCKINGHAM DROPS because they were too small. He called them "droplets" and said that they were consistent with a small cut. Unlike the blood that was supposed to have been his on Bundy, they were tested for EDTA. None was found, which meant that they came straight from his body unless someone switched them before the test. There is no evidence that the ROCKINGHAM DROPS were switched and nothing anyone could have gained by doing it.
O.J. made no attempt to hide his Rockingham cut, which no witness noticed. He didn't notice it himself until the limo pulled up and he was ready to go and he assumed that he must have cut it then. That was a fatal mistake because the EXACT LOCATION of the drops confirms his alibi as certainly as if O.J. had been filmed from 10:03, when he called Paula Barbiari on his cell phone, to 10:54 when Allan Park saw him going into his front door. The trick is figuring out the sequence in which the drops appeared. O.J.'s story of what he did and when he did it is the only scenario that will allow you to connect ALL of the dots in a way that is consistent with ALL of the hard evidence and uncontested eyewitness testimony.
The prosecution argued that O.J. could have gotten very little blood in the Bronco if he made the major cuts from behind his victims and would not have left much in the Bronco if he didn't get any on the back side of his "dark blue" sweatsuit. One problem with that is, as you pointed out (and Barry Scheck pointed out in court) "less than one drop of three people's blood spread out over a wide area" is way too little. Worse than that for any OJG scenario is the absence of blue/black fibers in the Bronco from the dark blue sweatsuit he was supposed to have worn. If O.J. could have avoided leaving any blood in the Bronco, how could he have left the blue/black fibers from "his" sweatsuit on the front of Goldman's shirt and on the socks that Fuhrman found in O.J.'s bedroom without getting any in the Bronco? How could he have left fibers from a dark blue sweatsuit anywhere when the only dark sweatsuit he owned was dark gray?
