What I think that is important about what Wagner said about the dog is that it brings up the possibilty that there are alternate explanations of what Heistra heard. He says that he thinks the dog was in the road and two guys were trying to shoo him out. Not probable but possible. It made me think of the possibilty that it was 2 murderers and talking to the dog that was doing something like draging some of there plainted stuff a way or in the way and they pushed the dog out the gate and slammed it or took the dog in the car and sped south and let it out down the road to keep it away from what they were doing. Read his words carefully and you can see that it sounds like someone talking to a dog and a person saying what to do. Hay, Hay, Hay in a loud voice is what you would say to a dog, more than a person. But the significance is that there is no way that can pin down the murder times, cause it could have been as simple as passer by shooing a dog out of the road. And Ron could have been dead or not even there yet. Jasper don't hate me. But it puts a new wrinkle on the case.
