Jasper, What you say is true and I have gone to the International Harvester sites and seen the cars. I also learned that by 94, the owner of an IH Scout that was 14 years old was putting out some BIG bucks to keept that thing running as to get parts was hard to do.
I find it true (about the loyalty, etc.) from the websites. I Also found it true that if they broke down, it might take some time to come up with a part and get it fixed.
Makes you wonder about a cop who has to be ON TIME places who would "depend" on perhaps an undependable car. Or a car that when broken down would be "out of commission" much longer than would be usual with another kind of vehicle.
I still say that it is interesting that Heistra wasn't asked (that I have seen) about the "age' of the vehicle.
