Just so you know, many people in CA have access to Wrecking yards. Every Wrecking Yard has what is known commonly as California Hotline. This means that if you need a part no longer made that they put the need on the California Hotline and the majority of the time the part is found within 24 hours. Furhman having been a cop he would most certainly know where to go and what to do. Now, with Furhman's activities in regards to moonlighting if he had any associates connected to a chop shot the California Hotline wouldn't have even been necessary. If a person was joe blow off the street with few if any connections it is true, keeping that jeep running no matter what the circumstances would be expensive. But a guy who works the system as well as Furhman did and still does could easily have kept that jeep going.
