A careful reading of Heistra will tell you that when he went inside (11ish) the dog was still barking but not barking as much and as loudly or as frantically. Kinda like the dog was winding down.
This could indicate Schwab walking away with the dog. But it is important to acknowledge that the barking had NOT stopped before he went inside.
