I am also right-handed. I don't consider myself to be ambidextrous except in very specialize areas. I could never play basketball because I couldn't even think of dribbling, passing or shooting with my left hand. But I was always good at rebounding because I could always anticipate where the gall was going to go. That ability has always served me well on the one thing that I was always very good at - fighting.
It doesn't matter whether it's boxing, Kung Fu, knife-fighting or an other form of hand-to-hand combat, the basic principles are the same. A fighter uses both hands, whether he is left-handed or right-handed.
Think about the many non-fatal stab wounds from front to rear on Ron's right side (left-hand thrusts) and the fatal stab wound to the left side of his neck that measured six inches as I continue with a few boxing basics.
If a boxer is right-handed and he knows what he's doing, his most frequent and most effective punches will come from his left hand - usually the left job which goes straight in and comes straight back out for the quickest, most efficient punch he can deliver. When you've got the jab going you can land the right. When you've got the left and the right going, you can double up, confusing your opponent with various left/right, left/left or right/right combinations so that he cannot anticipate where the next blow is going to come from.
There are only so many ways you can attack your opponent from any given posture and only so many ways you can protect yourself. For every offence there is a counter and off of every counter there is an ideal attack. If you can anticipate what your opponent is going to do before he can do it, you will give him no time to counter, no room to maneuver and no way to win.
This is the essence of an ambush. Ron and Nicole were ambushed.
A properly planned and excruciated ambush is much closer to murder than it is to combat because once you surprise your opponent in the kill zone of your choice there is nothing he can do to defend himself. Anyone caught in a good ambush should be dead in seconds.
Now, consider all of the cutting and stabbing wounds from front and rear, the many sharp force wounds to Ron's right side and the blunt force wounds to the back of Ron and Nicole's head. Consider the stab wound on the INSIDE of Goldman's left thigh (delivered with a knife in the killer's left hand). What you're left with is a right-handed killer who knows how and when to use his left. --Jasper
