If true that VAnatter hadn't spoken to the Browns and learn about the earrings and bracelet, then we have a problem. Perhaps Lange's conversation with the Brown's suggested a problem between Nicole and O.J.
The only other easy explanation is that the detectives already knew of the history of problems between the two, but later didn't want to acknowledge that O.J. was already a suspect as early as June 13.
