Chris Springer went into this at length and showed, accurately I believe, that with the false starts on the tape recording, etc. that they had already spoken to OJ at length before they actually made a recording.
Another reason for OJ to be confused about what they were talking about and the way they jumped around with topics--much like Clark did with Kato.
If Dom Dunne can be believed AT ALL--he says that both Howard Weitzman but mostly Mrs. Weitzman told him that Oj spoke with the detectives at length at OJ's house prior to leaving for the station.
I tend to believe this. Why? There is an hour's worth of time difference in when Taft, Randa, and Kardashian speak of OJ arriving home and when Vannatter says he did.
News reports and others at the time had OJ handcuffed by 11:30 if not before. Yet Vannatter and others testified he did not arrive til after noon. I have stated repeatedly that I have CNN tapes of OJ arriving home and the announcer saying it was a little after 11 AM...not a little after 12PM.
Forget that the media would have corrected it. They didn't. Just like they finally cooperated in the bogus 10:30 AM video of Clark being at OJ's house.
Lange states he did not talk to the Browns for long yet I have seen where Judy Brown was said to have lapsed into this rambling "tale of Nicole and OJ' but mostly about what a wonderful family they were.
Yes, info could have been gotten from Kato about what OJ had on but at the same time, just when did Lange and Vannatter go over the notes of talks with Kato? According to their testimony, they were separated for most of that time. Lange at Bundy, Vannatter downtown getting a search warrant.
The way the interview reads, it is just as likely as that was far from the first time they had asked OJ the same questions.
