This "book' of Bodziak's is actually a textbook for other scientists that cost $90 so the riff raff won't be seeing much of it.
You say he lied. Well, why would he lie in a textbook that mostly other FBI agents and law enforcement could see and "trash" his expertise over?
This book is designed to teach others how to do this. Is he teaching them how to do it wrong? Since it is the FBI, that is possible.
All Bodziak really testified to was that the size 12 BM was comparable in sole size to the size 12 Nike shoe from OJ's closet not to how he arrived at the size of the shoe.
He did a song and dance about looking in the FBI book and trips to Milan but no real substance as to how he came up to the size.
Whether this measurement is correct or not, it cannot be blown off that Bodziak chose to put this measurement in a textbook for other law enforcement and FBI agents. A lie to his discredit? A lie that would wreck his credibility within and without the FBI and other agencies. A lie that would put "reasonable doubt" into the minds of people who thought the shoe size was cut and dried?
I don't think so.
