Thinking comes before emotions. Most people think in words. So words cause our emotions. Saying words over and over and words said together cause us to feel certain emotions. If the word Killer makes anger, fear, etc. then if you say it enough times with Simpson, then the word Simpson will cause the same emotion as the word killer. This concept is well known by advertisers and politicians to get us to buy products or to get us to vote out of fear instead of our rational minds. This type of thing was so often done with OJ, that people lost the rational side of their minds and did not trust that the evidence showed that OJ was not, could not have been guilty from the evidence presented. People who had processed the evidence and knew OJ could not be the killer, over time did not trust their own perceptions or logic. This is the problem with listening to pundits in any area of life.
