I do not know why they did not use the buses. I would imagine that it could have been a problem getting drivers. They asked for help prior to the storm. That was false about not asking for help. The govenor declared a state of emergency either prior or right after the storm. I am not 100 percent positive but I think that all happened on the 28th. That story was put out about them not asking and was in one of the big papers and they had to retract it, when the truth came in. Fox is not the best place in the world to get honest information. Fema would not let assistence come into the city. There where 500 airboats and captians ready almost immediately from Florida, the best boats for rescue as the things under the water do not bother the boat, and they would not let them come. And airboat captains are tought and can defend themselves. They use them for hunting in the swamps and know how to deal with about anything that crosses their path. The motor is above the boat instead of below. My daughter has been ready to go since she heard the storm was on the east coast of Florida. She is an experienced shelter nurse and no one has told them they could come.
