I used to manage a store that was surrounded by very wealthy old money. They where the nicest people in the world to me and my clerk. My clerk told me about this woman who gave her a hard time, and yes we found out she was new money. Old money just does not accept new money. They have a class that new money does not have. The only name that was ever dropped in my store was a famous painter. The customer knew I would be interested in a personal story about him and did tell this interesting story about him.
