Brian, ……..You, too, are an engineer. How long did it take you to see the value in doing your own study? Would you have ever seen it if the animations hadn’t intrigued you? Would you have taken on the challenge if you realized what a bear it was going to be just to get what you needed to begin? ……..The truth is, I fell into it by accident. I had to get O.J.’s height and shoulder width right in a mechanical drawing to do the perspective drawing of him walking out of the gate. I did this when I was trying to figure out the triangular blood drop pattern on the driveway between the Rockingham gateposts. When I saw that the pattern matched his story of leisurely walking the dog (gate open wide) and later hurrying to his Bronco to retrieve cell phone equipment (gate open slightly) I also saw other possible applications for getting scales and proportions right. Checking the Bronco’s parking position against O.J.’s story of how it got there was one of them. –Jasper
