Marilyn, …..When I run into dead ends like we have with Faye my first reaction is to heap curses on O.J. Simpson. Even with investigators like Pavelic working against him when they were supposed to be working for him, he must have learned something important and verifiable about Faye that isn’t in the public domain. Why hasn’t HE made it public? …….All the hours we waste looking for answers that O.J. could have given us in minutes could amount to years. Every day that goes by with the misinformation and omissions about the O.J. case corrupting our judicial system as well as our thinking is a day somebody goes to prison just for resembling the popular image of O.J. too closely. Every day without the truth about what happened to O.J. and why is a day that the "heart of darkness" continues to beat. ……Faye got out of testifying in the O.J. criminal case by writing a book in record time. She never had to tell the truth about anything in a public forum. Yet, the picture of a jealous, murderous, Jekyll and Hyde O.J. that she drew in that book had more of an impact in the court of public opinion than if she had testified in either of O.J.’s trials. Unlike Shipp, Denise and Fuhrman who drew an identical picture of O.J. before, during and after the trial, Faye was never subject to public cross-examination. ……….Shipp, Denise and Fuhrman got caught on such shaky ground in the criminal trial that none of them were asked to testify for the plaintiffs in the civil trial. The civil trial judge barred so much as the mention of Fuhrman in connection with any theory of a frame-up and severely limited the questions that the defense could ask about Faye. So, with Fuhrman in the civil case you get nothing. With Denise’s deposition you get the only question that tied the four of them together in January ’94 (remember Bill Wasz) and an instruction from her attorney not to answer. With Faye you get an instruction from her attorney not to say anything about her family. ………Why these specific roadblocks at these specific points? The more we look at Faye Resnick the more important and far-reaching that question becomes. –Jasper
