Rose, …….I think you’re damn close here, perhaps right on. The following is for anyone who thinks our continued interest in Mario is misplaced. ……..Jebusville began in November 2004 around the time Mario started posting regularly on the Iago Discussion Board, which was created in 1998 to discuss anything even remotely associated with my Iago in Brentwood book. Iago is, in effect, a dynamic extension of the book with many contributing authors expressing various points of view. Like it or not, Mario is a part of it and his move to Jebusville last month will not change the nature of what we have been doing here for the last seven years. ……….I conceived the book originally as a reference source using a series of e-mails to document the character of discussions about the O.J. Simpson murder trial throughout the United States and Canada following his acquittal. However, in the course of these exchanges real evidence emerged that filled large gaps in my nameless logic exercise, to see what would be necessary to frame O.J. in a way that was consistent with the evidence presented against him. ……..Ockham’s razor told me that one man could pull it off but the fewest number I could get from the evidence was five – all of whom had to have a slew of unique qualifications. There also had to be an environment of predictable corruption within the LAPD, the LADA, the media and the government at all levels to permit it. The killer had to understand how these institutions worked and to be plugged into every one of them at key points relevant to the murders. A theory like this appears to be so convoluted on its face that it is hard to take seriously. I didn’t take it seriously until I learned that there were real people who matched those theoretical people in every essential respect. ……Enter Bill Wasz. ……Certain features of the crime scene and the autopsy reports told me that the murders were carried out according to a standard military ambush procedure using a specific military “silent kill” technique. This form of ambush would have entailed a rehearsal to uncover hidden flaws in the plan and to refine it accordingly. The murder of Bret Cantor in late July 1993 matched the rehearsal requirements in every respect except for the excessive time lag between rehearsal and execution. If the Iago hypothesis was correct, there had to have been an aborted attempt on Nicole’s life in December ’93 or January ’94. All I knew about Bill Wasz when I wrote the book meshed with this timetable as well as the most desirable characteristics of the individual the killer would have recruited to gather intelligence that would too risky for him to gather himself. ……..Enter Mario G. Nitrini III and Rocky Bateman. ……..Everything we have on Rocky comes from Mario. How can we discus Iago on Iago without talking about Mario, Rocky and Bill? Given Mario’s Rocky connection to Bill, we will be talking about all of them a lot, threats or no threats from anyone. –Jasper
