Jean, …..I think that we looked at this before. Whether we did or we didn’t its appropriate to look at it now in light of the fact that Mario now says Rocky knew Bill Wasz. …….. Nicole made the 911 call on October 25, 1993. I think Mario said that Rocky showed him the “secret” compartment in mid October but it was definitely in mid November when he said Rocky first made the surveillance proposal to him. The fact that the 911 call preceded the first request that Rocky made in O.J.’s name to follow Nicole makes it more likely that the 911 call inspired the record established by Mario’s involvement and Bill’s that O.J. and Kardashian wanted Nicole followed. But if O.J. wanted Nicole followed for good reasons with respect to her custody of their kids, why get Rocky involved? That’s what private investigators are for and O.J. had his pick of investigators whose professional reputation depended keeping this sort of thing strictly confidential. ………If you were Rocky, knowing what we now know about Mario, would you have trusted him to keep quiet all of the things he told you about O.J. and Nicole? Certainly – as long as you were sure he wouldn’t suspect you of trying to do him harm. Beating Mario badly enough to convince him that someone was trying to kill him could have been someone else’s idea of getting him to talk. With Mario in that situation, you have a lot of flexibility to use his information, his reasoning process and his communication style to your advantage and leave Rocky twisting slowly in the wind. If that’s the way it went down, it’s no wonder Rocky went to Mario in a panic after the murders and got out of Dodge when he heard Ito was looking for him. –Jasper
