Rovaan, … I could never put Nicole and that knife together. It all comes down to the testimony of Robert Riske, the first officer to enter the house. He called Sgt. Rossi from the kitchen. It was neat and spacious with the Duracite counter sitting smack in the middle of it. The ONLY thing out of place was the knife on the corner of that counter. Furthermore, the orientation of the blade with the tip so close to the edge pointing outward had to catch Riske’s eye IF it was there when he went into the kitchen. He never mentioned it to any of the detectives. Neither did Fuhrman (it wasn’t in his notes) or Phillips who he waked though the house separately shortly after they arrived. He never mentioned it in court. He never gave the tiniest indication that he knew it was there. …….. When Riske testified about the tour he took Fuhrman on, he mentioned water in the bathtub, lit candles, the condition of Nicole’s bed, etc. In the kitchen he noted a blue jean jacket on the back of a chair. He said that he and Fuhrman discussed the jacket. Neither of them mentioned the knife. From all indications the jacket was on the chair before Vannatter and Lange arrived but the knife nowhere in sight. By all indications Fuhrman was alone in the living room writing his notes when his partner Brad Roberts came into the house at 2:30. At this point Fuhrman was still the lead detective without notification that RHD was taking over. He had the whole crime scene to himself, to go where he pleased, to check out anything and to have the photographer photograph anything he thought could be significant. He waited for Lange to do it. Lange didn’t arrive on Bundy until 4:25. ……..This is Marcia Clark questioning Tom Lange in the O.J. criminal trial on February 17, 1995: ………Q: DID YOU NOTICE ANYTHING? DID ANYTHING DRAW YOUR ATTENTION IN THE KITCHEN AREA? ..……..A: YES. I OBSERVED A KITCHEN KNIFE UH, ON A COUNTER, KITCHEN COUNTER. ……….Q: AND AT SOME POINT, DID YOU CAUSE PHOTOGRAPHS TO BE TAKEN OF THAT? ………A: YES ……….. The knife had to have appeared on the Duracite counter the way it was photographed between 2:30 and 4:25. There is only a four man list of people who could have put it there; Vannatter, Phillips, Roberts and Fuhrman. Duracite puts the knife in Fadi Halabi territory, Faye Resnick territory, and a bunch of people wearing Smoky the Bear hats along Highway 101. –Jasper
