I think the most logical explaination for those blood drops besides the shoe prints is that they were there before that night.
The DA's had several witness, including Sydney and Justin Simpson to prove those drops were not there that night and they never used any of them.
Isn't it fair to say if Sydney, Justin, Mrs. Brown, Mr. Brown, Dominique, Sean, Aaron, the Gardner, the housekeeper all testified those blood drops were not there that night would have been very damaging to OJ?
Also, I noticed that Riske and Lange and Vanatter never paid any attention to those blood drops, didn't seem to send up any red flags, I kept asking myself how could Riske put such importance on an ice cream cup but not those blood drops? Simple, he thought, like Lange and Vanatter that it was "old blood".
Isn't it odd only Fuhrman paid attention to these blood drops, but no one else did, until later? Even if it was OJ's blood, if it was old blood, it was old blood.
I also think if you compare the "new blood drops" found by Dr. Lee in the civil trial to the one's that were found by shoe prints, it would be very see how the "new blood drops" were drippings from the knife vs the one's besides the foot prints.
I know when Dr. Lee first saw those blood drops his first comments or questions was, "were those planted?". I was stunned to read this but he stands by that to this day. He believes who ever left those blood drops was not walking away from the murder scene and it seemed like the footprints were made to make it look like they fit the blood drops.
