The highlights of the story and my comments:

Is it me, or does this quote from this report appear to vague and confusing on purpose? Are to truly believe that this officer did not recognize how important this was?

If they could have linked OJ Simpson to this, the Browns would have allowed Sydney to testify about this, either in-camera or in a stipulation and would have justified this saying that Sydney's testimony about this could not possibly tramatize any more then she already was when she was taken out of her home in the middle of the night and kept asking for her mother?

Okay, how close would have Sydney have been to her mother to hear "a wimper in her voice"?
Also, isn't there a huge difference between "whimpering and crying"?

Where is Officer Heiden's statement, would Heiden's report different from the other officer's?
This also goes to my belief that since at least two officers heard this, the LAPD and the DA's couldn't bury this.

As soon as Sydney heard that, the police knew that OJ was in LA and did see Nicole that night. If this is all of what Sydney said then the police had no reason not to go to Rockingham to deliever a "death notification".

Justin shrugged his shoulders, indicating he didn't know, Vasquez wrote, adding that Sydney didn't "indicate whether her mother's best friend was a male or a female and did not say where or when she heard her mother crying."<<<
It appears to me that Sydney gave this officer the door to ask the questions, who is mommy's best friend and/or was this person male or female.

When OJ called Sydney that night she told him he was going to Chicago and when he would be back.
It wasn't an important question to find out when was the last time that daddy stayed with them? Sydney knew her parents stopped seeing each other for a few weeks before the murder. Justin also knew this, so how much sense does this make?
