That is exactly what Petrocelli claimed Lange did, he took Cora's keys, had a lock built around Cora's keys and then used the keys found in OJ's bag to see if they opened the lock--it did.
However, Cora claims she never gave her keys to the cops. The maid did. She also claimed that it was Mr. Brown who then gave the keys to A.C. because A.C. was helping to pack up Nicole's things and pull the cars into the garage and keep the "lookie loos" away from the condo.
