There is one thing you have to remember, in order for the cops to cover up, bury, confuse issues, they delve very, very closely.
They have to know the answer to any questions before they can even attempt to do their "magic" on them.
As for the journalists, my major problem with them use to be they never corrected their stories and with the same vigor they reported their stories based on sources from inside the police and the DA's office.
However, I have also come to know that by what several news reporters didn't mention in their stories is a clear sign of either their bias or their editor's bias. If a reporter ever says they are objective now, I laugh until it feels my ribs are going to break.
