Jasper, I don't know how she arrived at that time. The story did not say. (perhaps Kate can locate the story again--it was HER find).
However, if it is the person I believe it is, she was out of town (Canada) and she would have had phone records (as would the police). Also my sister who works from the phone company (GTE) tells me a "dump' can be done on a certain number and all in-coming calls can be located. She said she had done it before. (interesting idea for certain other areas in the trial isn't it)
If she is the person we believe she is, she was also a friend of the family of the Goldman's and more than likely told the Goldman's this pretty quick--at least at some point during the Proposed 10:15 time of death scenario that the DA's were presenting.
This is another example that goes with my assertion that the media could NOT have written these stories and Failed to note the Import of the info that they were giving.
You also may recall that Cochran, in the opening arguments, said that one thing Clark failed to report in hers was that there is a person that talked to Ron on the phone at an important time that night. This got lost in the wash over the hoopla of Mary Ann Gergis (sp) that day.
In the Ramsey case, every word from the Ramsey's and other witnesses is being dissected and made into headlines yet in This case, when someone says that they were talking on the phone with the victim at the time when he is supposed to be elsewhere and dead (according to the DA's) not one word is made of it. And it is not even widely told. Kate found this only recently when doing some major news searches for the OJS group.
We concluded that it meant that Clark knew full well what she was doing at the time and did not later discover she was wrong. She did it on purpose.
Never fail to realize either that the Goldman's kept quiet about this as well. charlie
