Kate We don't know for sure about MF hating being called that but I do recall that there was talk of it being a matter of "ridicule" to MF when confronted with it in that "cop bar" which I can't recall the name of. It seems that the others ribbed him about it.
Perhaps this is because he was not "Nicole's Cop" by choice. Perhaps it was because he was "assigned' to her and the others knew that they could really "get his goat" by kidding him terribly about it.
And if the reports of the Heidi hookers is true and that many times the woman just did drugs with the clients or put on a 'show" for the clients, and the cops were witness to something like this, maybe this is how MF got an upclose and personal look at her boobs.
For all the cops to know and rib him about it, sounds more like something he was "assigned" to do being the brunt of the joke.
That would then put Nicole in the category as a "source of embarrassment" with MF on top of all his other feelings about her.
I have heard and read that the "joke and prank" level with the cops is a big deal and can get pretty much on the harsh side.
That might explain too why it was Fuhrman (and Phillips) of the homocide department dealing with a obscene call harrassment case of someone he (MF) had already dealt with. Wonder WHEN in 93 this was? Heidi was arrested at the end of July of 93 and was out of business then. But that leaves Jan to July of that year (or later actually) for a Client to be harrassing Nicole.
And if it is true what the girls said that many times the guys didn't want sex as much as somebody to do drugs with, etc., some of her girls may have been doing that but not the actual sex for hire part. Some may have been just "party girls". If fact, I have heard that statement referred to Nicole and Faye during that last few months. Statements that Implied that they were out "partying". I know people who go out one time a week or more to bars for the evening with groups and they refer to it as "going out" with friends. Not partying.
References were made by close friends of Nicole's that you never knew where Nicole would end up by the next morning.
Or perhaps they truly went to a "party"--location unknown when they started out. charlie
