In reading the side bar and the full transcript about this, I am confident that Sydney is talking about a phone call.
You know, I just of something, why would OJ allow this information to come out about what Sydney heard, her mother's crying and not the "Hey! Hey! Hey!"?
I personally have a hard time believing that Sydney heard "Hey! Hey! Hey!" but not the dogs barking or the gate slam---unless there was such a time gap between them that she never put it all together?
It appears to me the DA's knew from day one Sydney Simpson was going to be nightmare witness for them for many reasons, and not just the timeline.
Also, did you know that a friend of the Browns, who was a kid's shrink, talked to the kids and made the determination the kids saw, heard, knew nothing of that night---that comes right from Clark's book. That is not what she says in the side bar now, is it?
It never made any sense that Clark not only used a dog as her star timeline witness, she was allowed to use it---what was Ito thinking about when he allowed this junk science into his courtroom?
The fact that the Plaintiffs, granted under pressure, changed their timeline should have been a clue to most people that the dogs barking and plaintive wails means nothing and if you attach any "meaning" to the dogs of that night, you have to take into account that that who ever heard the dog barking for 45 minutes and after 11:00 p.m. were not hearing Nicole's dog.
