First off, we have to remember that the cops have a legal right to give out false leads, etc., under the guise of seeing who will take the bait, etc. They also routinely hold back evidence from the press so I understand a certain amount of these false leaks.
However, in several very early stories, the DA's were already pissing off the LAPD about evidence they found and the DA's were ignoring and they leaked it to the press. Now, didn't Fuhrman say in his testimony that a lot of evidence is being ignored and then tacked on something about a lot of personal issues that have come up and he thinks that is too bad? I bet Clark and Lange and Vanatter were stunned to hear Fuhrman say that a lot of evidence was being ignored and realized they had no control over what was going to come out of Fuhrman's mouth.
When I started this thread, I was thinking more along the lines of the author of a book who claimed she got a phone call a little after midnight that by a journalist who said that he heard about the murders over a police radio.
John DeBello who testified that he saw Karen Crawford pick up the glasses at 9:15 p.m. The woman who went on TV to say that she spoke to Ron at 10:17 p.m. that night.
Stephen Singular was the first to make a big deal about the fact that Phillips was not Fuhrman's partner and that Fuhrman and his usual partner went to Rockingham at least once before the offical police version of when they went to Rockingham.
