Jasper:

I have been reading OJ's depo and I read something that triggered something you might find interesting.

In this part of the depo, OJ was asked about what his relationship and thoughts were about the LAPD. He gives an answer but he says he was always good to Marines.

I thought it was a rather odd remark until I remembered seeing a re-run of OJ's appearance on the LKL show before the murders. I don't know how many times he was on or when this show aired but he talked about wanting to joining the Marines. That he and his buddies wanted to join up and go to Vietnam and that like many men, they felt the Marines were the "baddest" and the war, for some reasons does seem to be very appealing to some men. The honor of defending their country, etc.

However, he said that he decided to go to college, play football, etc. However, when he and his friends who didn't join the Marines saw their buddy who joined the Marines and went to Vietnam and lost both his legs they realized then that war was no longer "romantic" to them, they realized it could have been them with out their legs. They also realized that they could have come home in a body bag like another one of their friends did.

I used the word "romantic" and I hope you understand what I mean by the word, I just can't seem to find the right one.

Anyway, how pissed off do you think Fuhrman would be if he knew about this interview? How pissed off would a lot of men who did join the service and did lose buddies, etc. would be toward any famous person who didn't go to war because they were "college" boys, accuse them of hiding from the draft or using college as a reason they weren't drafted?

Also, do you think Fuhrman knew, before the murders, that OJ's father was gay? And if he knew this, was this just another "reason" why Fuhrman hated OJ so much? Not like he needed many reasons to hate but until I came here, I never realized just how many reasons Fuhrman had to OJ besides his skin color and his fame, and his white wife.
