I agree with you that police perjury is a serious issue, but that wasn't my point.
Didn't it seem to you that Petrocelli was always trying to set up OJ for a "lie"? That he was so desperate to discredit OJ in any way he could, he would have nailed OJ in court by saying, that OJ even lied about where he went first before he went to Park Center?
As for not coming right out and saying it, why would Petrocelli pass up the opportunity to make this into a bigger deal then it actually was? He knew OJ wasn't going to answer it, he knew his lawyers would tell him not to answer it, so why not ask the question several times and let people believe what they will about this issue?
Petrocelli also had the defense on the "ropes" if OJ went for a drug test first, apparently they found PCP in system. How long it would it take Petrocelli to say and get away with it giving the impression that OJ was a drug addict and that the "weed" he smoked that night turned into "Killer Weed"?
Don't you agree that if Petrocelli called in Bugs Bunny and the Loch Ness Monster and they testified against OJ, that jury would have believed them?
