Kate and Charlie,
Did you note the subtle suggestion in the article that Kathleen Bell might have been lying? It also came out in Cochran's examination of her that the incident in the recruiting station happened in 1986. It was an easy thing to find out. Yet, even today many people say that it happened in 1985.
What's important about the date is the fact that it happened at least 6 months after the '85 incident with the baseball bat where Fuhrman somehow showed up without being called. People forget that Fuhrman's racist tirade didn't occure in a vacuum. It came as a response to what Bell said about her white friend, Andrea Terri and O.J.'s black friend, Marcus Allen. That links Fuhrman to an interest in O.J. on possibley five seperate occasions before 1994. There was the phantom domestic dispute call in '85, the Bell incident in '86 and the Ferrel request in 89. Then there was the "boob job" commennt in '92 and the phone call investigation in '93 (need more conformation on that). Talk about a trail of evidence that Fuhrman had more than a passing interest in the Simpson's before the murders; what more do you need? --Jasper
