Dear Mr. Garrison,
You don't know me--my name is Pat Valentino. I am a musician by trade, but have worked for many years with my good friends Donald Freed and David Lifton on the JFK assassination (I was hired by the Assassination Records Review Board to record CD's of Lifton's historic interviews for preservation in the National Archives--David is the only Warren Commission critic so honored) and more recently with Don and Joe Bosco on the Simpson case. I am convinced that Mr. Simpson is innocent of these murders.
I have read with great interest your book "Iago In Brentwood". I have always been suspicious of Fuhrman for many reasons some of which you have written about. There has never been a proper investigation of this case but we have gotten some mostly dismal so called documentaries. The one by Bill Curtis was decent and mostly fair but copped out at the end.
The BBC is in the final editing stages of a documentary on the Simpson case that promises to be quite compelling. I have been doing some consulting for them as has Donald Freed and Joe Bosco. The producers in England are good guys and are really trying to have the film be as objective as possible (to have the people in the audience make up their own minds on what they've seen) although they themselves are now convinced Simpson is not guilty.
At this stage, their work is being checked and rechecked by the BBC's staff of attorneys for accuracy. They called me by phone a couple of days ago and wanted to know if I could cite the source for Ron Goldman's Karate training. I'm not an expert on Mr. Goldman's background; my knowledge of the case is based on the trial and television records (I have video tape of the entire pre-lim, and the criminal trial as well as every major panel discussion show day by day) as well as an independent study of Fuhrman. Incidentally, if there is anything you ever need from my video record that will help you in your writings, please let me know and I will be happy to make you a copy of whatever it is.
Can you help me with this matter? Ron Goldman's martial arts training has been talked about for years but I have never seen any detailed info on it--what studio did he study at--when--how high up did he go (what belt level for example) etc.
Do you know anything about this or can you direct me to any other person who may know?
The second subject they are interested in is the matter of the Mezzaluna being a "drug distribution center". What we have now is mostly "general knowledge". Do you know of any specific citations that they can varify? I know Pat McKenna interviewed everyone he could find that had ever worked at the Mezz, as well as people who worked next door and around that general area in other stores. Can you cite anything specific in this area?
