Jasper, I think you will find that Heistra was Not behind Nic's condo when he heard Hey, Hey, Hey and the gate slam. He was in the alley of the houses across the street.
If he were in the alley behind her house, he could have testified to whether there were any cars there, etc.
He was in the alley behind the houses across the street. McKenna did do that test with him and it was the middle gate but he walked past Bundy and went down the next alley.
