I have been successful in finding the short version of that video. I will look for the other.
What I see in the video is that the glass front door IS a door. There is stop action on the door itself as shown thru the living room window at the side (where the shoeprints were). You can see the door handle on the right side making the door one that would swing open towards the pathway so that the person would step out onto the terraced area. Also I learned the living room is actually wider on the other side of this door. It is not straight across but sticks out onto the terraced area.
The door handle is one that is similiar to a car door handle. You put your hand on it and push down to open the door. Much used on glassed doors or doors of sunporches, etc.
