which depostion? And what were his EXACT words. the trouble is, on his interview video, OJ states that he came back in the house for the last time that night by going in the garage and shutting the garage door. So for Kaelin to have been "in" the garage when the limo was there, he would have had to have opened the garage door -- something that would have been both very odd and very noticeable at the time. It would have also have been impossible to have seen inside the garage from OJ's position on the driveway while loading the limo. Most likely, Petrocelli badgered him into misspeaking.
"...He could have meant the garage area, etc as Baker states that it is about the third or forth time Petromalt asked the question. Since we are all suppose to be friendly here, and I have asked this question with no response several times I didn't believe I had to go through this entire explanation. So many people assume whatever Kato said as Gospel, and I frankly don't believe a word he said. I figure Kato made up the noises because he got caught in an area he wasn't allowed. Unless permossion was given or else he was supposed to do a job, Kato was only suppose to have his room. He had to ask to use the Jacuzzi, he did not have access to the main house at all..."
These assertions are directly contradicted by much of what kaelin told his ghostwriter, Marc Eliott. According to the book "Kato Kaelin: the Whole Truth", Kaelin had virtual carte blanche at Rockingham. If Karina persists in the above allegations, then I must ask her to document them.
"...In the deposition Petromalt asks O.J. Simpson every possible way about where the alarms were and where they were not other than a motion detector which he refused to say where it is now, and it was like pulling teeth for him to even come close to saying where it was before the murders. Bottom line, Kato had no way into the main house legitimatly...."
According to Eliot's book, he had open permission to come in through the back patio door (except when it was occasionally locked) and eat whatever was in the kitchen.
"... He was not supposed to wander around the grounds alone. The door from Kato's room into the main house via the office/trophy room area had an alarm on it and if the alarm was on Kato could not go through that door without the alarm going off...."
THAT STATEMENT IS ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE! THE AUTHORITY ON THE ALARM SYSTEM IS SUSAN SILVA OF WESTEC, WHO TESTIFIED IN DETAIL IN THE CRIMINAL TRIAL. SHE QUITE SPECIFICALL SAID THAT THAT DOOR WAS ***NOT*** ALARMED
"...First he had to unlock the door somehow since he only had a key to his room...:
The only other time this door is mentioned in anyone's testimony is in one of OJ's depositions, when, in answer to the question of how many times he had ever been in Kaelin's room, he mentioned that Syney and Justin had once unlocked that door and gone into Kaelin's quarters, and OJ went in to get them out. Sydney and Justion were about and 6 at that time. this leads me to believe that there was a keyless manually operate latch on that door. It could easily have been openable from either side, and even if it could be opened from the house side, Kaelin could have opened it himself at some time or other. This door was in the most obscure and unused part of the house.
"...Only O.J. Simpson had a master key to the entire estate. unless someone else got a hold of this key and somehow was able to take it somewhere to copy it,..."
Gee Whiz, Kariana, maybe you ARE as intelligent as me, after all. Now, I just wonder who it was that could have copied a master key for himself.
"...everyone else had their own keys. Of Course Arnelle had a key to the front door..."
And, interestingly enough, Kaelin had his own way into Arnelles room, since he had twice entered it through a window on the previous Memorial Day after Arnelle -- twice -- locked herself out.
