I still think Kato met with someone back there to tell them what was going on with O.J.. Otherwise your explanation works also. People are starting this O.J. Firsts again on the other group. How hard is it to see how many first Kato has, he asked to go with O.J. Simpson. It was Kato's idea. Kato left the Jacuzzi on. This explains why O.J. even went to the Kato's room. The change question was probably just impulsive. You know Lenore Walker wrote in her report that O.J. is impulsive but not dangerous.
