Add to that the defense witness (good, bad or indifferent) was Never allowed to examine those BM photos that came in at the end of the trial. And although Petro Man promised he would (after the trial and on national tv--Geraldo to Groden), to my knowledge, he Never did.
And as far as a rebuttal--you may recall that Judge Fuji denied the defense a rebuttal (the day Ennis Cosby was killed) because they didn't have a witness sitting in the court at about 4pm or so that Thursday and there was less than a hour left in the trial day. I believed then and I believe now that it was a set up. The Plaintiffs had claimed they would take all of the time that day and that the defense wouldn't get to a rebuttal (long weekend around MLK Holiday) until the next Tuesday so they had not flown their (defense) witness in prior to the Friday off and prior to the long weekend.
So there WAS NO REBUTTAL by the defense by Judge decree.
Also the next monrning the judge sequestered the jurors prior to being able to learn the results of the General Inspector's report on the FBI Lab that stated that agents slanted and lied about evidence in the case and that the edta tests were not up to par. The report was in that day's paper.
I have often wondered if the judge learned that the report was going to be in the paper the next day and shut the trial down to keep it from being an issue in the trial.
