I knew that something had happened with one of the cases (after that, why weren't others investigated?) but was not sure of details.
Considering the "topic" of the LKL Show last night, don't you find it the height of hypocracy and disengeniousness that NOBODY mentioned that she was fired for that case and WHY?
If you saw it, she stayed away from THAT part of the topic. The part about what the cops and prosecutors did.
She, instead, spent her time accusing the couple and trying to convince the audience that they are guilty. It did not seem to bother her in the least (nor the cop Steve Johnson?? from the Ramsey case) that the judges declared that the cops and DA's had lied and fabricated evidence.
Both relied on the old saw---"why would cops and DA's put their careers, lives and reputations on the line to do this?" which completely ignores that the court findng was that IN FACT, that is exactly what they did. That is when the reporter broke in to say that they were ignoring the facts of the case--the court's findings.
I understand a state special prosecutor has been assigned to investigate--not if it happened but just who was involved and just high up did the frame go.
Frame? Of course, what else would you call lies for a wire tap and lies about what was said on those phone calls? Misrepresenting other evidence that was taken out of context and exculpatory evidence ignored?
And this not a frame from a "real killer" but by the cops and DA's.
Something was said about the DA being investigated FOR his reputation in general of mishandling the grand jury in all cases.
It may turn out that this is not the only case that they find that this was done.
A grand conspiracy? NOT! All it takes is for a cop or cops to believe someone is guilty and DA's that follow that or believe it too. ANd as John says believe that they are the "good" guys and must make the case.
And this is actually fabricating evidence. Taking a falsely achieved wire tap of almost total unusuaable audio (deliberate?) and claim that a conversation (shown to the grand jury in a transcript) that never happened is proof of their guilt.
What's flinging around a few items at the scene when nobody is watching?
