I wonder if the fourteen year old boy convicted of first degree murder when the Prosecutors had offered three years in Juvenile athourity for involuntary manslaughter, just might encourage O.J. Simpson to accept his diversion therapy and forget the rest. They don't play games in Florida, they put you away. This kid was just playing pro wrestler, clearly this was an accident. When I was a freshman in high shool this kid was playing with a gun and this girl got shot and killed. He did no time. He was supported by all who knew him because it was an accident. The adult who's house it was didn't get in trouble other than learning to hide his guns better. The school pulled together in grief, not anger and hate. It was all about healing. We didn't need someone who learned how to feel in a text book to tell us how to deal with the loss of the person we saw at school everyday. We cried, and we were in shock, and we felt so terrible for the families of both people, as well as the people in the house. I was best friends with the daughter of the guy who owned the house. He wasn't sued. I dated her brother. We all dealth with it, went on with our lives and went from there. I am sure it could have been dealt with better, but it wasn't. I understand grief, but these people who get stuck in the anger stage, they really worry me.
