Kari, Looking forward to your answer but like you I had a hell of a time going thru the phone book as it is now. It has everything but the kitchen sink in it (and it may have that) at the front. You have tons of ads for other things and organizations and tourism but have a hard time finding a number to call about your service or the area codes, or zip codes or anything else actually connected to the phone company and service.
I DID finally find the area code page and as of our 2001 edition--there was no 949 area code.
