I think this goes along with Jasper believing that the 10:17 call is the one made by Judy to Nicole about the glasses after they got home.

We have talked before about what was "common knowledge' in this case at the time. What was the general consensus as reported in the newspapers and on tv and radio. The Browns leaving at approximately 9 and Nic being at Ben and Jerry's at 9 is just one such issue.

I have always considered that getting off the phone with Nic at close to 10:30 would qualify as close to 11 oclock in the mind of someone who was not completely aware of the time. From someone who had made a long trip--two times in the afternoon and night and of someone that age.

The interviews by the Browns on television were also in the "public domain" at that time where they talk of leaving at 9, Nic at the ice cream at 9, of Judy missing her glasses prior to leaving but being in a hurry to get home and leaving the waitress to continue to look for them. Making statements about not knowing where Nic parked so she couldn't go look for them in NIc's car, etc.

Bottom line is that the Browns told a completely different Public story than they stipulated to or testified to in court.

Question: Why weren't they ever challenged--by either side on the conflicting stories? Why didn't the press? Why didn't the tv talk shows. charlie
