In this whole case, Officer Gonzales is my favorite witness. He is young, unexperienced, never testified in a trial before. (Hidden by the prosecution) He does not know how to handle himself yet. And so, he is quite honest even though he knows where his loyalities lie. When the defence called him Petrocelli thought it was going to be about the impound report of the Bronco, and prepped him about that. He was not prepared for other questions. So when asked about who he saw walking Arnelle from her room to enter the house he said something like "whoever testified that they walked her down there is the one I saw". Testilying 101. Miss Marple
