Well, they are stupid enough to have to test the "trail" that led into the kitchen (as told by the guy showing the video of the house where the glove was not found). It seems that a possible "blood trail" went into the kitchen. They tested it and found that it was catsup or taco sauce but it took the test and close observation to determine that.
I found it interesting that at this time there IS a catsup taco sauce type trail into the kitchen that went first through the foyer.
Have you ever seen the photo of the socalled drop of blood on the driveway where there is actually two drops in the same photo? They put an arrow to the one drop but don't explain the other drop that appears to be catsup. The one that they point to as blood is dried. The other is a glob of something that is still shiny looking and is 3D in the photo.
