All the confusion was deliberate. If they could not make a good lie, they just confused.
But think about it. If Schwab had been at the coner of Bundy and Dorothy at 10:55 and Heistra was in the alley at 10:50, when Heistra came out of the alley he would have seen Schwab coming up Dorothy. If Heistra was in the alley at 10:45 he would have seen Schwab as he stood by his house watching. If Heistra had his back turned walking away when Schwab was coming up dorothy, then Schwab would have seen Heistra. So Schwab had to have come up Dorothy after Heistra went inside at 11:00. So Shaft or whatever the mailbox guys name was, had to have seen the dog before Schwab got there or he had to have gone to the mail box a lot later. Please let me know if I am wrong.
