Considering that her husband died like he did I'd say she realized that the real world means saying what the boss wants you to say when your doing your show. She used to have more of her own opinion. O.J. Simpson said in his video how shocked he was that she didn't believe so much of the truth, he said it differently, and spoke against him as she had been a friend of his. Clearly her reporting of the O.J. Simpson case was written by her bosses even then. Her husband refused to capitulate and he dies while having surgery. Yes he had cancer, but the surgery is done everyday and rarely if ever does the surgery itself cause death.
